Our Story
Students. Entrepreneurs.
Our team consists of Josh Silverman, Francesca Caruso, John Kane, and Christian Tegtmeier. We are entrepreneurship students at New Trier High School. We have noticed that loose change remains an issue in our tech driven world. Our solution is a platform that allows you to deposit your change into your eChange account immediately after a cash purchase at designated retailers. You then will be able to log into your eChange account and deposit your balance to your personal bank account. We are in the process of working towards our ultimate goal, to give you your change back without the annoying coins. To do this, we are testing our market by implenting a similar system into our High School.
We are motivated students who are tired of the hassles that coins present. We are entrepreneurs who realize that the coins you get after paying with cash have value but the way you receive it needs to change. We are eChange.
Meet the Team
Josh Silverman
Co-Founder & CEO
Josh Silverman, Co-Founder and CEO of eChange is a Sophomore at New Trier High School. To suit his strong interest in business and technology, he has taken advantage of the many opportunities to build upon leadership and entrepreneurial education. Josh is a strong team player supported by his participation in extracurricular activities such as cross country and track.
Francesca Caruso
COO & CMO
Francesca Caruso is a current sophomore at New Trier High School. When she is not helping her business succeed, she is participating in clubs and sports in and out of New Trier.
Christian Tegtmeier
Co-Founder & CFO
Christian Tegtmeier is a Sophomore at New Trier High School. He participates in extracurricular activities in his community and is an avid entrepreneur. Christian also takes a leadership role on the ice for New Trier Hockey.
John Kane
Co-Founder & CPIO
John has been with eChange since the beginning. He adds a unique dynamic to team and is always prepared for the next challenge. When he is not spending his time working with the rest of the team, he is on the ice rink playing for the New Trier hockey team.
